Our north Devon Touring Campsite is AA ‘Small Campsite of the Year Award’ NOMINATED!

At our recent annual unscheduled AA 3 Pennant Campsite Inspection we were told that Headon Farm Touring Site we would be nominated for their Small Campsite of the Year Award! We are absolutely over the moon!! We are waiting to hear if we have been successful, but just to be nominated is great news!

In addition to this, during our Inspection our Quality Score increased from 90% last year to 91%. This means that for the second year running our Touring Site is a GOLD AWARD AA 3 PENNANT SITE, being in the top 10% of Campsites in our category! The AA say:

The AA Quality Standard recognizes the quality, style, and range of a Campsite’s services and facilities. AA Gold Pennants are awarded to the very best Campsites scoring 90% and above…..

Headon Farm Touring Site welcomes caravans, motorhomes, and tents. We have lawned grass or hard standing pitches accessed by a wide, all-weather entrance, all with electric hook up, a heated toilet/shower block and a dedicated dog walking field is available adjacent to the Campsite.

We are centrally located in the beautiful north Devon countryside to visit a wide variety of places, all within a day trip distance. There are the gloriously sandy beaches of Bude, just a 20-minute journey away, plus the craggy cliffs and coves of the South West footpath to explore. The rugged beauty of Dartmoor is just half an hour from the Touring Site. It is possible to visit Exmoor or the wide sandy expanses of beaches like Saunton Sands on the north Devon coastline. Travelling down into Cornwall is easy along the A39 Atlantic Highway taking you to places like the Boscastle, Tintagel, Port Isaac (of Doc Martin fame), and the harbour at Padstow. We are fortunate to have a host of National Trust properties and gardens to visit within each reach. If you are seeking some action there are 2 swimming pools close by, bowling, childrens play areas, archery, golf, kayaking, paddleboarding, cycling (we’re on the Sustrans trail, National Cycle route 3), and horse riding to name just a few ideas.

If you just want to relax, unwind, and take in the peace and beauty of our touring site find your chair and take in the amazing views. The night skies are clear and teeming with stars even more stunning as we have no light pollution. From our campsite you can look across the fields to see cows and sheep grazing, you may even spot foxes, deer, badgers and buzzards. The famous Devon hedgerows are brimming with plants such as bluebells, foxgloves, honeysuckle, roses, and you may find some wild strawberries or blackberries.

If you would like to enjoy all that Headon Farm Touring Site has to offer and don’t wish to tow, then why not store your caravan or motorhome with us? We offer secure CASSOA Gold Standard Storage both outside and in our bespoke undercover storage sheds. All the storage is on hard standing and we offer flexible terms. Our tow to pitch service is very popular, your caravan is ready and waiting on our touring site when you arrive, you just turn the key in the door and you are on holiday!

If you are looking for a family run, friendly Campsite with great views, family, and dog friendly, plus open all year, please give us a call! A warm welcome awaits!
